Androgenetic Alopecia
- This type of hair loss is caused by an imbalance in the sex hormones or androgens in the body. In men, this type of hair loss usually begins above the temples, and the receding hairline eventually forms a characteristic “M” shape. The hair at the top of the head also thins, followed by increasing diffuse hair loss radiating from the top of the head. Telogen Effluvium
- This type of hair loss can be associated with high stress levels. Increased shedding (known as Telogen effluvium) can occur when significant stress can push large numbers of hair follicles into a resting phase.
